This is a very convenient bag for compact DSLRs. It like the holster style fit. I use it for an Olympus E420, which is a bit smaller than typical DSLRs. As a result, I can actually fit a standard zoom (Olympus 14-54mm, which is actually a bit larger than the standard kit zooms like Canon 18-55) along with the 25mm pancake prime lens. I inserted a padded divider so that the lenses aren't banging into each other. The pockets provide room for a lens cloth, lens pen/brush, extra card, and extra battery.

I would have given it five stars except for a couple shortcomings compared to another similarly sized and priced Lowepro bag I bought several years ago:
- The fabric quality seems a bit cheaper.
- I wish there were more pockets and that they were more spacious, as on the other Lowepro bag I mentioned. I think this could have been done without changing the dimensions of the main compartment and without much additional cost. On the other bag I mentioned, there are pockets on all sides of the exterior. In addition, the exterior pockets of the other bag were a stretchy neoprene, which is more useful than the stiff fabric of the single exterior pocket on this one. I know I'm nitpicking but I'm just a bit disappointed since these seem like easy fixes and the other bag was made by the same company after all.

There are two storage 'compartments' - one on the inside top cover, with a flap, other on the back, without a flap.

Nice case, nice quality, but space only for camera and lens nothing more. I have Nikon D3000 + lens 18-55 Kit for this set case good.

This bag is well made and provides ample storage for it size. I am able to place a D90 with an 18 - 105 lens in it leaving additional storage for a short lens on the bottom. It can also accomodate a D90 with a 70 - 300 lens attached alone. There is a front poch also for accessaries. The velcro supports inside the main compartment provide good support for the cameras to keep the weight off of the lens. Plenty of strapes and loops to customize. Great bag if you don't want to carry your big bag and all your stuff.

PLUSES: The case is very well built, heavy canvas materials, with a hard rubber bottom, You can put it on your belt, carrier by the top Handel or use the adjustable shoulder strap.The zippers work very smooth and unzip down the side for quick easy exit of the camera when you need it.
Now for the NEGATIVES: My Nikon with a 18-200mm f/3.5 lends fits nicely into the case, but it don't fit when I put me 17-55mm f2.8 lens on, the case should have been made just 1" longer, but I can live with that, do to the fact that I use my 18-200 lens most of the time.. FINALE ANALYSIS: Great buy for the money..

It contains enough pockets for the bare essentials but will keep you from loading it up with filters and batteries which is why i have the larger version to hold all that. It's okay, what there is of it. . . - F. W. Burr - Binghamton, NY
I was looking for a holster style camera case for my EOS 5D Mark II, and this looked like it. It's well constructed, and carries well. However, it would only accommodate the smallest of my telephoto lenses. And I have to remove the diopter correcting eyepiece and cup and tuck it next to the lens, or the case won't zip closed. Want to pack any extras, like a spare battery, a filter or two? Forget it. The interior mesh pocket has no expansion room (unless you don't want the camera), and the two exterior mesh pockets are so snug, the best I could do would be a spare flash card or two. For a holster for casual shooting, I guess this is okay - - anything more serious (a bigger lens, more accessories), look elsewhere.

When I first got the bag I was surprised by how nice it was made. The materials the bag is made with are top notch. The best part of the bag though is it's design. I love the main compartment for the camera, there are adjustable tabs inside so you can actually put your camera inside with a lens attached and put another lens in a compartment that opens on the bottom. If you really had to I was able to fit three lenses in this bag, a 28-135 a 28-200 and a 18-55mm. There are so many attachments on the outside that it's quite easy to attach another lens bag on to it.
I love this bag and I will purchase more M-rock stuff later on.

Advertized as canon batteries so I was willing to pay a higher price but once you get it you find they are the same replacement batteries you can get much cheaper.

Recently, wrapping up my search for a holster for my Canon 40D with 28-135mm zoom, I purchased the "Canon Zoom Pack 1000 Holster Case + Two (2) BP-511a Batteries + Cameta Bonus Accessory Kit for Canon EOS 5D, 40D, 30D and Digital Rebel DSLR Cameras" from Amazon. I am poised to leave on an extended trip abroad, in a few days, and needed these items.

The kit arrived in a timely fashion and most of its contents are satisfactory.

I like:
·The Canon Zoom Pack 1000. The 40D with lens fits snugly in this well padded and strong Canon holster. It has a detachable shoulder strap and Velcro adjuster for the holster interior (presumable to accommodate shorter lenses). The holster, also, sports an odd non-detachable waist belt, with buckle.
·The Precision Cleaning Kit for digital cameras features an air blower, carrying case, lens cloth, lens cleaning liquid, brush, cotton swabs, and lens cleaning tissues. It will help to insure my 40D's clean longevity.
·The CTA Mini Battery Charger (110V/220V) package assures that the charger is a "worldwide AC power source". We'll soon see.

I don't like:
·The two CTA rechargeable batteries. Amazon advertises these batteries as two Canon BP-115 or BP-115a batteries. These are not Canon batteries, but rather "CTA Digital Accessories" batteries, with a "3 year limited warranty", that "replaces Canon BP-511", say their labels. (Remember, the BP-511a with 1390mAh, has 25 percent more power than the BP-511 1100mAh. These CTA batteries claim 1500mAh. Again, we'll soon see.)
·The entire Zoom Kit is too pricey. (Time permitting, I could've shop around for its materials, including stock Canon equipment, for a happier experience.)

Because I'm in a time-bind for a 40D holster and extra batteries I'm keeping this product. Otherwise, I would have returned it as an item not advertised. (My wife reminds that "one gets what ones pays for" and real Canon BP batteries would likely hike this Zoom Kit's price.)

This case does what it's intended for very well. It's light, compact and holds my Nikon D80 and attached 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The build quality is excellent and the lining and padding are very nice. If you just want to carry an SLR and a large zoom lens, this is the bag for you. The price is hard to beat.

However, that said, I'm going to be looking for another bag in the near future. I have a Tamrac that holds several lenses, speedlight and an SLR, but it won't hold them all with a lens mounted. So, I was hoping this bag would be my solution to keeping a superzoom on the camera all the time. I overlooked my desire to keep a speedlight and filters handy. I use fill-flash a great deal of the time and this bag has no provision to carry one. There isn't enough extra room in the main compartment for a speedlight and the small side pouch will not comfortably hold a filter-carrier. There are no side-loops or other attachment points, just a thick belt-loop on the body-side.

I'm currently looking at the LowePro Mini-Mag as I think it might be the solution for my particular application.

I like that this bag is large enough to accommodate my Canon 17-55/2.8 lens, although quite tightly and I have to close the zipper very carefully each time. There are two caveats in using this bag with such a big lens: (1) the camera and this lens are quite heavy together and they put a lot of pressure on the bars inside the bag, and they bend a bit shortly afterwards. (2) this lens if quite wide and it doesn't easily go insider past these bars. Nevertheless, the bag serves well and I like it very much.

I've had some trouble trying to find the right case for my camera. Back in the day I used to use a Canon Rebel G (with no case) and all I can remember is dust on the lens controls and camera body. When I bought my digital point and shoot the sales rep recommended a soft form-fitting case and it's kept my small camera safe and clean. My friend and I had been talking about a similar case or sleeve for a new Rebel XS-- something similar to the form fitting case like I use on my point and shoot. I was surprised to find this item even existed and we couldn't be happier to have found it! The material is a soft wetsuit like materiel that doesn't scratch the rear screen. It snaps nicely into place and seems to be good for storage as well (keeping my camera clean in the closet).

I don't know how much protection this soft case affords the dSLR if/when I ever drop it, but it's a nice cosmetic case and good for storage. Maybe I'll use it to profide further protection when using my larger hard shell travel bag?

Good purchase. I recommend.

Just bought this for my Canon xSi, and the camera fits nicely. I use the standard lens kit on the camera and the strap that came with it and it fits just right. There is a little room left over for an extra memory card and extra battery in the pocket on the lid, and i keep the small Canon reference book in the outside pocket, but thats about all that will fit inside. Everything fits snug without feeling like its crammed in. except for a couple lens filters, i don't think anything else would make it in there though.
overall nice bag that's as compact as you can get for the Canon xSi.

It's ok, DIFERENT from the image, front pouch VERY small. - Alan Marmo Nehemy - Brazil
1 - the case is different from that on the image we see above.
2 - the case I received has a kind of foam to absorb impacts in front of the real small pouch and on top of it, very different from what we see on the photo, the bad thing about it is that there's almost no room at all in the front pouch, making it almost useless.
3 - the color of mine is black with silver on the zipper and the Kodak logo, different from the nice gray and orange we see on the photo.
4 - it has a place for a belt fixation, what is good.
5 - the strap to carry on the shoulders is ok.
6 - for the price, my only real bad regret is the different color and that foam, the rest I can understand.

This bag is well-constructed, with a mesh organizer pocket, easy-to-work zipper, and adjustable shoulder strap. It's not the prettiest case, but it is not unattractive. It offers decent protection for my Nikon D60 with my 50mm lens attached. I usually use my Lowepro sling bag, but this is a cheap, sturdy option for people looking for a fairly compact digital camera holster.

I got this case for my Canon Rebel 12.2 MP XSi SLR digital camera and it is a perfect fit! Zipper keeps it very secure, & the shoulder strap makes it easy to carry. I highly recommend this product!
